Ellwood is an original stone barn dating back to the 1830's, newly converted and refurbished to exacting standards by the present owner (who was born in the adjacent original farmhouse), to use as his eventual retirement home. In the meantime we are proud to share what must be one of the most luxurious properties one could wish to find. The centrally heated and double glazed accomodation is imaginitively designed over 5 split level floors, retaining many original features including exposed stone walls and ceiling beams, reclaimed pitch pine and Lakeland slate flooring, and is lavishly equipped for your every need. From M6 Junction 40 (Penrith exit), follow A66 (signposted Keswick) on to Cockermouth. Follw the A66 by-pass round Cockermouth. Then A595 towards Carlisle - after the next roundabout continue to follow A595 and take left turn to Bridekirk after 1/2 a mile. Ellwood is the second property on the right hand side, after 3/4 of a mile and lies behind Gale House. |
